The Parkland High School Momentum Winterguard is under the direction of Ms. Gaby Cardenas. Ms. Cardenas has been the instructor of this organization since 2004. In her years with Parkland High School, the Momentum Guard has received over 30 awards and has grown from a small group of 5 members, to an astonishing 26 members over the years.
Under her direction, the winter guard has been a consistent West Texas Colorguard Association Finalist, and has placed in the top 3 many times.
Each year is a new concept and a different show idea. All productions are home grown through the designs of Ms. Cardenas, Ms. Rodriguez, and outside resources.

During the Spring semester, the students participate in the "Winterguard" portion which is an individual competing group, separate from the Wind and Percussion ensembles.
